At every inch of the forest lurks some danger. The teams have to meticulously plan their resources, skillfully strategize their journey, collaborate and take decisions jointly. If they don’t, they will be doomed for failure. Only teams with big picture thinking and an agile mindset will get the diamonds.
The weather conditions in the Amazonian rainforest are villainous, cruel and unpredictable. Even Gods don’t know what will happen in the next moment.

In this business simulation, time is accelerated and space is compressed so that players can see the consequences of their actions and thus modify their assumptions and beliefs.
In Diamonds of Amazonia, many teams start playing with the clarity of the purpose, but forget it as soon as they get overwhelmed with day-to-day pressures and challenges.
They lose sight of the bigger picture. So instead of maximizing they start surviving. Instead of Playing To Win Big, they start Playing for Not Losing. All this happens gradually and unintentionally, which negatively impacts their performance metrics.
Teams experience one of the most profound lessons of the game – “How To Have A Mindset of A Maximizer”
In the gameplay many teams put in a lot of hard work, optimize resources and craft strategies to mine diamonds. But not all of them are equally productive.
A team may have a maximum number of diamonds, but still may be a loser.
People are busy, but the question is are they productive? It’s quite possible that the busiest people may be the most unproductive ones.
In the program debrief, participants learn the key differences between activity and productivity and how to become more productive.
In the game, teams’ performance is measured on the financial parameters. The quality of decisions taken during the gameplay have a direct impact on a teams’ performance.
Many teams make decisions based only on their experience and perceptions. Very few teams take data-driven. Teams have access to data, but it is so rare to find them to create and maintain the dashboard of key performance metrics to make decisions.
In the debrief participants get a big jolt, when they realize that they could have won the game if they used and made sense of the data that was already with them.
Setting priorities and creating a network to deliver on the strategy and plan of action is essential in this competition.
